Cause: Excel 2011 does not include the Analysis ToolPak. Solution: Download StatPlus:mac LE for free from AnalystSoft, and then use StatPlus:mac LE with Excel 2011. That last link used to include loads of comments from disgruntled Office for Mac users, but Microsoft seems to have removed comment functionality from that help center article. Jul 12, 2016 Unlike Excel for Windows and Excel 2016 for Mac, the Data Analysis ToolPak is not included in Excel 2011. The workaround is to add the free StatsPlus Lite Edition to Excel 2011. Follow the steps below: Download StatsPlusLE for Mac and save the zip file on the desktop. Double-click on the zip file to unzip the contents to a folder. In the Tools tab, select Excel Add-Ins. Excel Add-Ins option in menu. In the Add-ins window, select Analysis Toolpak and click OK. We have successfully loaded the Analysis Toolpak. Click the Data tab Data Analysis command to see that the Data Analysis tools are now activated.

There are two kinds of add-ins: Office Add-ins from the Office Store (which use web technologies like HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and add-ins made by using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

If you're looking for a built-in add-in such as Solver or Analysis ToolPak, select the Tools menu and then select Add-ins.

Get an Office Store add-in for Word or Excel for Mac

1. On the Insert menu, select Add-ins.

2. To get new add-ins, select Store. To use add-ins you already have, select My Add-ins.

   • The add-ins you'll see will depend on the app you're using and the kind of Office 365 subscription you have.

   • Office for Mac doesn't currently support organization-based add-ins.

Get a VBA add-in for Word or Excel for Mac

1. On the Tools menu, select Add-Ins.

2. In the Add-Ins available box, select the add-in you want, and then click OK.

Office Add-ins aren't available in Office for Mac 2011. They're only available in newer versions.

The Analysis ToolPak is an Excel 2010 add-in program that adds extra financial, statistical, and engineering functions to Excel’s pool of built-in functions. The tools included in the Analysis ToolPak enable you to analyze worksheet data by using ANOVA, F-Test, rank and percentile, t-Test, and Fourier analysis.

Although the Analysis ToolPak comes with Excel 2010, it doesn’t come pre-installed. Before you can use the statistical functions added by the Analysis ToolPak, you must install and load it as follows:

1Click the File tab and then click Options.
